The 16th edition of Convivio Milano opens the doors of the Mostra Mercato, a fair trade shopping event that includes the participation of Poliform with its collections. From 7 to 11 November at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan.
Design is culture, wellbeing, and also solidarity. It puts people at the center, always. Poliform bears witness to this profound commitment, taking part in Convivio Milano, a charity event that for over thirty years, together with Anlaids Sezione Lombarda ETS, supports clinical actions and scientific research to prevent the spread of HIV and sexually transmitted infections.
The project is back, from 7 to 11 November at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, based on a consolidated and effective format that combines a series of in-depth initiatives on the theme of healthcare and a large Exhibition-Market for fair trade shopping. As the driver of the project, the Mostra Mercato brings together design and fashion trademarks, but also producers of accessories, cosmetics, food&wine and many other sectors, which with great generosity donate their products, which can then be purchased at 50% off list price. Poliform is one of these firms. The brand takes part in the initiative by offering furnishing products, joining forces with a community that goes well beyond the event itself in terms of solidarity. The proceeds are donated to efforts of prevention, wellbeing, awareness and correct information, promoted by Anlaids Lombardia ETS, represented by its president Andrea Gori. From the outset in 1992, Convivio has been able to involve over 800,000 people in its fundraising, for a total of over 25 million euros. This 16th edition now has a new objective: to reduce new cases of HIV in Italy to zero. “Convivio is special not only because it unites many worlds in the spirit of solidarity, from fashion to creativity, science to institutions, but also because it makes it possible to continue to construct, with trust,” the organization reports. The ideals and philosophy of Poliform lend themselves to this noble initiative, where artistic and social sensibilities meet across a new way of communicating important values for the community.
