An event in partnership with interni at Poliform|Varenna showroom in Milan
“Design meets food, Milan meets the world”: a themed journey through the flagship stores of design made in Italy that become meeting places dedicated to design and food and wine events. It is an opportunity during the first month of Expo 2015 to promote Italian excellence across the city, to discover places where you can purchase design and where designers and chefs meet and exchange ideas.
Part of this series of events, organised by Interni magazine, was an evening on 27th May at the Poliform|Varenna showroom in Milan. The protagonists were architect Carlo Colombo and chef Davide Oldani who focused on the relationship between elements and ingredients, in a series of parallels between architecture and cuisine. The evening was also an opportunity to present the latest model in the Varenna collection, the Trail kitchen designed by Carlo Colombo himself. This new project shows a contemporary conception of the kitchen, thanks to the minimal thicknesses of all its elements, from the worktop to the shelves and open containers.
