Honourable Mention for the Sharp and Phoenix kitchens
Sharp kitchen by Daniel Libeskind and Phoenix kitchen by CR&S Varenna have been bestowed with the Honourable Mention at the German Design Award 2015, an international award for the best creative projects.
This prestigious international accolade is attributed to excellent designers and companies who have been able to express originality, maturity and creativity in their products, combining quality and compliance with functionality and ergonomic criteria. The jury, which consists of a panel of designers, architects and journalists, examined 1,900 applications, assessing them according to the functionality, design, technical quality, styling and safety of the product.
Sharp, design by Daniel Libeskind, made entirely in Dupont Corian, is a generously proportioned kitchen devised to convey a timeless convivial spirit while enhancing a bold relationship between the functional areas and the dining area. Conceived as an architectural feature, it emphasises the designer’s flair in its sharp silhouette.
Phoenix, design by CR&S Varenna, is the latest new model in the Varenna kitchen collection.
Moving around a Phoenix fitted kitchen is an experience that involves both sight as well as the other senses. The striking yet simple design, together with the quality materials, which are truly a pleasure to touch, make this setting comfortable and accommodating as well as a jewel to behold. This is thanks also to the colour combinations, to the sophisticated shades and to the alternating glossy and matt surfaces.
It is a genuine collection for everyday living. As testified by the versatility of the possible compositions – which can adapt easily to homes with an open-plan kitchen space and living room – and the efficiency of the technological solutions.
